About

396829_10100104607562417_831070259_nThe first line of my college application essay was “I love tunafish.” But it wasn’t until five years later, while attending graduate school in Paris, that a future in food writing ever crossed my mind.

Today, I’m the Social Media and Content Manager for the Institute of Culinary Education, and contribute regularly to Honest Cooking. Whether I’m cooking for one or fifteen, there’s nowhere I’d rather be than at the market or in the kitchen…with maybe with the exception of a concert, which is why I also manage social media for Sofar Sounds NYC on the side.

Check out my Brooklyn, Manhattan and Paris pages for updated lists of my favorite spots in each city, or my Music page for a glimpse of what I’m listening to lately.

Recommendations for wonderful bakeries and cafes by St. Germain-des-Pres or the Latin Quarter. I am staying at Hotel Lindbergh at 5 Ave Chomel, 75007 and love to go for a wonderful espresso and Parisian breakfast very early and also love trying cafes/bistros like a local.

    • Hi Kathy –

See my “Paris” page for all my personal Paris suggestions. Eric Kayser is fairly close to the Luxembourg Gardens, for example.

You might also check out David Lebovitz’s blog or Paris pastry app – he’s the master when it comes to baked goods in the city.

      Bon appetit!

      Carly
